Welcome to Ms. Doliente's Grade 6 Rainbow Class.
Hello! My name is Rosalie Doliente; the younger ones in the after-school program know me by Ms. Rosalie or Venice’s Mom, who is currently in 7 Orange. She is the youngest of my three children. Harry is the oldest and is married to Marivic, his high school sweetheart. They reside in Benicia, California with their two adorable daughters. My other daughter, Rezaleen, is also blessed with a daughter named Emma, who won’t leave home without a purse.
Although, I have been surrounded with numerous teaching opportunities, from being a Catechist teacher at a very young age to a trainer at a bank and most recently, at a mortgage company, I resisted a career in education for various reasons. Then one night, after reading Venice her bedtime story when she was 3 ½ years old, she gave me the biggest hug ever and exclaimed, “Oh, Mommy, you’re the best teacher in the world!” I guess God has it all planned out. Eventually, we moved to Oakland in the summer before Venice entered Kindergarten. It was during her first few years at St. Elizabeth Elementary School when I was inspired to become an educator and here I am!
My goal is to motivate and inspire my students to develop the same love for learning as I do through reading, research, and other engaging activities. I also believe that you, the parent/s or guardian/s are partners in the academic success of each student. Thus, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child. Together, we can ensure your son or daughter reaches his/her full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We are in this together!
