Mother Pia Director
Email Mrs. McConnell
Hello! My name is Kelly McConnell and I am the Director of the Mother Pia Center here at St. Elizabeth. This is my 13th year being with the St. Elizabeth community. I started as a teacher in the Mother Pia program where I taught for seven years. Since then I have been coordinating the Mother Pia Program and working to instill the programs mission--to enable children to learn--socially, emotionally, and academically--when they need something different. It is a great honor to work with such wonderful children and families. I strongly believe every child deserves to feel successful. Many times the path to success for students changes based on their individual needs. One of my main goals is to help children and families discover their unique gifts both in and out of the classroom to provide confidence to be a life long learner.
I moved to California from Baltimore, Maryland 13 years ago. I attended a small all women's college, Hollins Universtiy, in Roanoke, VA. Seven years ago I received my Masters in Waldorf Education from Rudolf Steiner College. In my outside of school life I love spending time with my family, cooking, cycling, and reading.
